Back to posting
Wow, I have not posted in forever. I have been very busy with school, all three classes I had were tough. But that quarter is now finished and my next quarters classes are all easy, which means....I can craft again!!! Look forward to seeing many new posts here very soon.

Leather purse
I needed a new purse, just like I do every season. I got some leather feel fabric as a remnant for a steal..only 60 cents for a 12 x 60" piece. Perfect size for making purses, I don't know if it's real leather or faux, but it feels luscious. The last one I made was too small for all the junk I like to carry with me, so I made this one bigger...although I think I made it a little bit too big...we will see after I have been using it for a while, they do seem to fill up fast.

Here is the inside view with just a few things in it. A very spacious center for my wallet and anything else I want to toss in with two big side pockets. One pocket has my day planner in it, so I can keep track of where I'm going and when, the other pocket has my gum, candy, mints, lipstick, womanly necessities and some Kleenex...and there is still plenty of room in that pocket!

I probably should have chosen black fabric for the pockets since the gold seems to jump out, but it does make it easy to find the pockets this way...and I'm the only one that sees inside anyway

Curtains for baby room
I am in the process of removing the blinds that came with the house when we bought it, and putting in curtains...I hate blinds. I started in my daughter's room, because hers seemed to be the simplest. I used Dora the Explorer fabric and made them tab top style. For right now, they are on a normal curtain rod, but I will be making a decorative curtain rod out of pvc pipe painted to match the room, whenever I get around to painting rooms

Most tab top curtains use buttons, I don't know why...but I didn't want to go through all the work of creating button holes that I wouldn't be using anyway, so I make some fake buttons that look like butterflies to match the butterfly pattern on the fabric, out of polymer clay. I used all the colors in the curtains. My 2 year old daughter is very happy with her new curtains and it darkens her room a bit so she doesn't wake at dawn anymore...yeah!!

New beginnings
I decided to throw in the towel on my last website. Just too many issues with coding and things moving around on me, so this will be my temporary home until I can figure out which direction I want to go with it and how to get there. After I get that done, I will probably keep my blog here because I don't have the energy or desire to attempt coding my own blog. Please edit your bookmarks to point here and email me if you see anything you want to buy between now and when the new site is up.
